losing the b card

perhaps I was a bit too confident in my writing. All through high school I receieved A’s on every paper. Very rarely did my grade fall below an 85. Even here in college, all of my papers have recieved A’s and B’s. Until now I guess….

I had a hard time letting go of my paper for the peer reviews. I feel like my writing is a somewhat of an extension of myself. It’s a piece of self expression. I felt my paper was very personal and full of little port holes into my psyche. I felt volunterable and exposed, almost.

I got a 70 on that paper. I was very displeased. I want to see the revisions I need to make in order to bring that grade on up. I am not a 70 kind of student. I worked way to hard in high school to let it all hit the fan now.

Perhaps our next essay will prove to be a more positive experience. I am hoping so.
